Talk of Totterdown Issue 24 - Spring 2012

These are exciting times for TRESA with the news that we can now start to put in place plans to develop a virtual community centre – find out more on the front page.

We welcome ‘13’ a fabulous Polish Food Shop which opened in December. Lots of delicious and unusual goodies to try out at the shop situated on Totterdown Square.

We also take a look at development plans which could impact on our area, including the disturbing news that Network Rail has submitted proposals for a development on land close to Bellevue Terrace.

As usual 'Talk of Totterdown' brings you the latest community updates including news of Local Neighbourhood Policing Priorities, an update from the 'Totterdown Sprouting’ Group, a progress report on the community mosaic and another great tongue in cheek cartoon from ‘Spellcheeker’. Totterdown weather station gives us a summary of Autumn’s weather – as we shiver in the February cold that seems a long, long time ago. And looking forward to the Spring we have a very special ‘Behind the Door’ visit to Totterdown’s bees!

In this issue Lavender Broom considers the possible impact a further set of recycling bins might bring to our streets – it may be some time before Mr Broom ventures out again on a mobility scooter…

Once again we provide a brief overview of local entertainment news, as well as the usual messages from our sponsors, who contribute to the Talk of Totterdown publishing fees.

Enjoy!
